WHY REDSITREP?

While growing up during the latter stages of the Cold War, the Berlin Wall still separated East and West Germany. As a kid of the 1970s and teenager of the early 1980s, Communism was a clear threat to the Constitutional Republic I lived in. I had no deep understanding of Marxist ideology. I just knew the Soviets ran five-year plans, that their “elections” were decided long before any vote was cast, and that Khrushchev wanted to “bury” us. Nuclear war felt one crisis away—Cuban Missile Crisis, mutually assured destruction, bombers in the air 24/7, submarines on silent patrol. I grew up knowing World War Three could start at a moment’s notice.

The Berlin Wall fell in November 1989. The Soviet Union collapsed in 1991. The United States won the Cold War. That’s what the American public was told.

However, the war over political ideology continues to rage on American soil—more than seventy years after the McCarthy Hearings. Marxism versus Capitalism is on display through every facet of American society. Politically, Socialists are winning elections in the Senate, the House of Representatives, and local races at a disturbing rate. Look no further than New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani—a self-described democratic socialist now in charge of the largest city in the United States.

Three polls¹ conducted in 2025 show that America’s youth favor Socialism over Capitalism.

These young people have been publicly educated in an institutional monoculture that is heavily influenced by Marxist ideology. Faculty surveys over the past decade consistently show liberals and far-left voices now comprising 60% or more of higher-education faculty—especially in social sciences, humanities, and teacher-training programs that shape the next generation. American youth are hearing one side of the political ideological debate. The cited polls show the outcome: receptiveness to socialism and a decline in identifying as capitalist.

WHAT THIS MEANS

The political momentum is with the Marxists. They are winning the long game by capturing the energy and enthusiasm of a young voting demographic. They recruit new talent in high schools and universities throughout the United States. Socialist teachers identify and target students and then radicalize them to embrace the revolution.

In pitching their ideas to young voters, Socialists use the wealth inequality gap as a narrative and frame it as “The Oligarchy.” Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez flew around the United States in 2025 for their “Fighting Oligarchy Tour.” The Oligarchy is to blame for why you can’t afford food, housing, health care, etc. In short, the Capitalist system is responsible for your strife. You can build a better world—you just have to adopt Socialism and tear down the Capitalist system that’s at the root of your oppression.

What exactly is Capitalism to a Marxist? As Dr. Karlyn Borysenko explains, it is your right to own personal property—which includes your rights under the Constitution. Marxists believe that parents own their children through Capitalism and that the nuclear family is the process by which Capitalism replicates itself. Marxists attack the police, ICE, and the military by trying to defund them because they believe law enforcement and the military uphold Capitalism by enforcing personal property rights. That is one reason current funding for DHS is hitting a roadblock in the Senate. A nation’s borders also protect personal property (Capitalism). That is why the Southern border was open for four years under the previous administration.

Everything I have written in the previous paragraph I learned from Dr. Karlyn Borysenko. I encourage you to click the link and view her free course entitled Re-Education: An Anti-Communist Introduction To The Far Left here. One Saturday night about three weeks ago, I was scrolling through YouTube and saw an interesting thumbnail titled “Socialism Saturday.” I clicked it and was immediately transported into a world where my Socialist–Communist enemies were analyzed. Their language was deconstructed into a form I could understand, and everything I had been feeling since the Cold War “ended” felt validated.

I started REDSITREP because Marxists haven’t given up. Marxists continue to organize. Marxists continue to recruit. Marxists conduct “structure tests” and improve upon their tactics and document their best practices. When I was growing up, Webster’s Dictionary defined Socialism, in part, as the step a society takes before Communism. I don’t know about you, but I enjoy my freedoms. I enjoy having private property, my Bill of Rights, and the Constitution. I hope I have made my case for starting this newsletter. If you enjoy your freedom, please subscribe to REDSITREP and come along for the ride with me. While you’re at it, subscribe to Decode the Left with Dr. Karlyn Borysenko here and learn from her directly.

MOVING FORWARD

It is my intention to publish an article every other week. My next article (RS-002, April 22) will focus on the May Day activities that the Marxists are planning.

Thank you for reading this article and subscribing to REDSITREP.
